One Year Later
It was a year that we added a new member to our family. We got Diesel our English Bulldog in July. He is getting big and spoiled as can be... what can I say.
With Katrina helping we have grown our bread route which is a good thing. Because of this we made the choice that Katrina would no longer be working at Food Pyramid. She now helps me when she isn't in class but otherwise she is making those "A's" so she can get that good job. I am very proud at how well she is doing in school. Think sometimes she plays with D too much but, he is pretty darn cute.
Working with the OSU football team we went to another bowl game which made 4 in a row. That is something that has never been done so pretty neat to be a part of that. As we have talked about before things have changed and I'm no longer working at OSU. Was a good run and had a blast but for now we are trying something different.
In December we got to head south and spend New Years with the Family down in Dallas. was good to see everyone again and can't wait to move down there. Richard and Sarah were nice enough to host the evening which by the way.... their house was unreal. Who wouldn't want a house with a whole mini house as a "MAN" cave. Oh yeah... it awesome! It felt so good to be there and so glad that John and Celia gave us a place to crash.
For the past few months Katrina and I have been getting to spend lots of time together which has been really nice. From working together to working out it's good to get to see my wife. Well I should get to bed but thanks again for taking the time to read this. One down and many to come....

Been to long
1. I have got to work and spend more time with Katrina in the last month then I think we have the whole time we have been married. Side note but can you believe that it's been almost a year for us... wow. Katrina no longer works at Food Pyramid and has been working with me. It's made my job so much faster and easier with her help along side. I get up about 3-4am but we are getting done with the route about 11-noon everyday. Gives us so much time to come home and play with the hound-dog.
2. Katrina and I have got back into working out pretty hardcore from us making the changes we have. We both want to get better in the area and it really helps having someone to go through it with you. I am not a big fan of cardio but she is and I can't let her beat me ( which she does most days ). I will say that it had been nice to go work out and then do cardio and it not be at 6-7pm ( after I would get off work from the weight-room ).
3. Katrina and I get to have dinner together.... such a simple thing but we get to eat and enjoy each other in the evenings. Before it was about 2hours worth of get home, cook, eat..... time for bed.
4. I have got to spend time with my friends. So much so that Katrina and I are tired from hanging out and not just from working.
5. The last thing and one that makes me smile more then you can even see..... Well maybe showing you would be the best way to let you know.
Just in case you are wondering thats a 2010 Dodge Charger R/T!!! KOBE
So I'm sorry that it's been so long but things are going to be better. I am going to find a way to change how I feel. I'm going to make things better. No one is going to out work me and for that I will be great. I was once told that it's 50% fear and 50% arrogance. I'm going to train with the fear that I can be better and have the arrogance to laugh at the man to my left.... and to my right..... knowing that the time I have put in will make me better then you.
Those last words were said to me by a very wise man. Thank you for the talk last night... even if it was at 12:30am. You can't outwork me.... Bring it!!!!
One last thing.... Thank you for all those that have been with me and all those that will be with me. Hell of a ride and we are just getting started. Kobe!!!!

This last week....
I could tell more than ever that this was going to be hard when I found myself watching the NFL draft. May not seem like much but it's really cool to see guys you have worked with and got to know make it to the next level. For so many years I really never gave it much thought because I was going to be with the next years group. I have always loved watching college football. Love game day... the sights and sounds.... the players getting ready.... walking out the tunnel on to the field as 50,000 fans go crazy. What a feeling.
There are many days that I wish I could have been like John and to have been able to play at the next level. Then again the grass isn't always greener on the other side, lol. I say that with the utmost respect to John. He was so much fun to play ball with and against growing up.
Maybe somewhere down the road I will get to walk on to that field for game-day again but for now.... time to start the next chapter. For all of you that have been there for me and helped me along the way.... THANK YOU. Been an amazing ride!
On Friday Katrina and I also found out that, for now, we won't be moving to Dallas. We found out that there aren't any routes open down there. Not even a relief driver which is helping out, cover vacations, etc... We are both were very excited about getting down there but it's not in Gods plan just yet. As Mike said, "God isn't through with us here in Stillwater yet". We both are taking it good. Would have been nice to move now but there is still alot of upside to staying here. Katrina and I plan on enjoying some time with each other. Something we couldn't really do before with me working in the weight-room.
First on the dock-it is to go see Mike, Emily and Grayson this tuesday. There are a lot of things we want to do and are looking forward to being able to do them. Will be nice to go down and see John and Celia this summer. We both plan on seeing our friends more. Katrina and I have been married almost a year and really haven't go much "us" time. Super excited about getting to spend time with my beautiful wife. Crazy I know, lol.
Well..... a lot to take in but ready for what God has in store for us. Once again, thanks for everything and please keep us in your thoughts and prayers.

Ceremonies honor OKC bombing victims
On April 19, 1995 a federal office tower in Downtown Oklahoma City was the target of a home-grown terrorist attack.
168 people died in the bombing at the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building.
Monday, they were honored at the site - which is now a memorial, a tribute to those victims and the legacy of hope they've left behind.
Love each of you!!!!

Another busy week.... But enough time for some Baseball
It was a great night for baseball and the OSU Cowboys came out on top against the number 11 ranked sooners 7-6. Something relaxing about sitting at the ballpark. For me and my can't stop moving world it was really nice to hang out with Katrina there too. The fact the OSU won was a nice touch as well.
Watching this game also made me think of another classic game. Check this out...

Update on Moving
In the last post I had said we heard about a route that was open for us to buy... well. I had talked with him on friday about the route down in Dallas. My boss was getting the numbers together for us and when I talked to him that next Tuesday he had sold the route. Not sure it would have been the best for us but made me kinda sick that we were so close and just like that it was gone. Sure all will work out but been hard this last week not knowing if we have a job to go to. As I think I said before if we don't have a route to go to then we will probably stay here in Stillwater ( which we really don't want to do ). To many things have worked for us on this for it not to all work out in the end....

Good things part 2
Last week was a busy week for Katrina and I. She was on spring break so we took a trip down to Dallas on tuesday morning. We met up with Celia Hughes about 1pm when we got into town. She took us around to a lot of different places to live. Some were to say the least.... Not for us, lol. We did how ever find some that weren't to bad. We are thinking that will will move into "The Village". Everyone we have talked to about it says its a great place to live.
The apts were really nice and they seem to be in a great part of Dallas. Easy to get to and lots around them. It will be nice to have a place were we can invite people over to have game night or dinner or even just watch a movie. There are about 700 pools around the place to lots to pick from this summer.
Tuesday night we hung out with the Dallas crew over at Hughes/Byrd house. Was really nice to relax and cook out. John cooked on the 'ol grill. He made Brats and Hamburgers for us. He even cooked an amazing steak for my wife ( thanks ). After dinner we hung out talking about lots of nothing and loved every minute of it! We played this pretty cool trivia game that John had after dinner. Katrina and I smoked everyone the 1st game but got our butt handed to us in round 2. Oh we will be back.... Fear the "Kobe".....lol
Wednesday Katrina and I went to talk with the people at UTD about her transferring. We found out that everything is set and she can! She can get in-state tuition plus $30 per hour, which we thought wasn't bad at all. Paying out of state wasn't something we wanted to do.
We have talked to a few people here in Stillwater about buying our bread route so let's hope that all goes through. I have talked with my boss here and he got in contact with them down in Dallas letting them know we plan on moving there. We found out on Thursday that a route in open down in Dallas. I should be getting the numbers ( how much it runs ) this next week so once again things are falling into place. There is still a lot that has to be worked out but looks like Katrina and I will be moving 4hrs south.
I would ask for all your thoughts and prayers because this is a big step. A good one and one we both feel is the best. For those that have helped so far and those that will be helping....THANK YOU!!!!!! Means so much to know that we have such amazing people in our life to help us a long this.

Good things to come...
For some of you reading this you may not understand but things are falling into place. In the next few months Katrina and I are going to take a big leap. I don't want to tell to much till things are set. I don't wish to keep anyone in the dark but just want to make sure we have all our ducks in a row, as they say. I do hope that each of you will keep both Katrina and I in your thoughts and prayers as the next few months are going to be hard....but for the best.
Know I am hard to be friends with from time to time but I must say that I have the best group of friends.... Thank you all. Not to be to sappy just want each of you to know how important you are to me. God has been amazing in my life and I see that everyday through each of you. I know I have said something like this before but just makes me so happy to have you in my life. So many memories and so many more to come. Life is..... you bet.... good! Love you guys

Things You Need to Know!
(Hardly seems worth it.)
If you farted consistently for 6 years and 9 months, enough gas is
produced to create the energy of an atomic bomb.
(Now that's more like it!)
The human heart creates enough pressure when it pumps out to the body to
squirt blood 30 feet.
(O.M.G.!)
A pig's orgasm lasts 30 minutes.
(In my next life, I want to be a pig.)
A cockroach will live nine days without its head before it starves to death. (Creepy.)
(I'm still not over the pig.)
Banging your head against a wall uses 150 calories a hour
(Don't try this at home, maybe at work)
The male praying mantis cannot copulate while its head is attached to its
body. The female initiates sex by ripping the male's head off.
(Honey, I'm home. What the. ..?!)
The flea can jump 350 times its body length. It's like a human jumping the length of a football field.
(30 minutes... Lucky pig! Can you imagine?)
The catfish has over 27,000 taste buds.
(What could be so tasty on the bottom of a pond?)
Some lions mate over 50 times a day.
(I still want to be a pig in my next life...quality over quantity)
Butterflies taste with their feet. (Something I always wanted to know.)
The strongest muscle in the body is the tongue. (Hmmmmmm......)
Right-handed people live, on average, nine years longer than left-handed people.
(If you're ambidextrous, do you split the difference?)
Elephants are the only animals that cannot jump.
(Okay, so that would be a good thing)
A cat's urine glows under a black light.
(I wonder who was paid to figure that out?)
An ostrich's eye is bigger than its brain.
(I know some people like that.)
Starfish have no brains
(I know some people like that too.)
Polar bears are left-handed.
(If they switch, they'll live a lot longer)
Humans and dolphins are the only species that have sex for pleasure.
(What about that pig??)

Dinner
So you know the moments when you really should have picked something else. I love my wife and her picking dinner but tonight wasn't that time. We have to laugh and thought you all would like this. She wanted to make "Goulash" which seems simple enough... right? You brown some meat, throw in some pasta, tomatos, and some corn. Well to say the least Katrina made enough to feed a small army. lol Bless her little heart but it wasn't good at all. The good part is that we both felt the same way, lol.
YUM....
So from this we went to Sonic and got us some yummy food. BAM!!!

Good day....
This last weekend was just another case of Katrina and I really needing to get out of this town. I'm not looking to be a debbie downer but there really isn't anything to do in this town. I just keep thinking about all the good times to come when we move to Dallas.
Katrina asked me saturday what we would be doing if we were in Dallas now... Got me to thinking about all the different things we could be enjoying other then here ( Stillwater ). Chilling at Johns is always a good time. Going out to a nice restaurant is always a good time which is really hard to do in Stillwater. Going to watch a pro sporting event. Six flags! More then enough cool concerts to go to. All I know is that we are both ready... More then I ever thought I would be. I guess over 20 years of living here is more then enough time. Just an offal feeling when you want to do something and going to B-Dubs is about as good as it gets, lol.
On a really good note I had an amazing lift today. Small victories, lol

Last Week...
Other then that we did find out some really amazing news... Mike and Emily McClurg are having another BOY!!! Yeah for them!!! Levi Patrick McClurg should be in the world June 27th. Would be really cool if that is when he is born because.... well I like that date. he he. Just in case you didn't get that date, that is when you all came to a really big, amazing, awesome, smok'n, cool-cool party ( My wedding ). Awwww that was a fun weekend. So glad that so many of you could join us.
Sunday Katrina and I went to Oklahoma City to watch the Super Bowl at Derek Hays house. Before we went over there we went to the mall and moma got a new pair of shoes. I kid you not my wife wanted and got the new Kobe shoes. The things we do for the ones we love. Was good to see D and hang out. The game was one of the better games in recent years. The Colts lost to New Orleans with a final score of 31 to 17. The game was alot closer then that but the Saints pulled away at the end. Good for them and great for that town. Oh what a night to be there on BOURBON St.

What a day....
1. Got up at a little before 3am
2. Left house at 3:15am
3. Got to work ( warehouse ) at 3:45am
4. The bread truck was stuck outside our warehouse
5. They call a wrecker to get him out
6. The wrecker is to small to pull him out
7. They call another one and on his way that one blows out a tire so they have to call another
8. 3rd one later it pulls out our bread truck
9. As the truck is backing in to the dock it jack-knifes and is stuck again
10. If it wasn't one thing it was another today... BOO
I got done working the bread route about 2:30pm and had to be in the weight-room at 3:30pm. I tried to get a lift in after work but there wasn't anything in the 'ol tank. I guess that's the price I pay for the life I live. Hard work being this out of shape, lol
On a high note my wonderful wife made me dinner and it was yumm-yumm! Nothing like a little salad and some lasagna! Always a good call. One day I am sure I will look back and laugh at the life I am living now. Who really works this many hours.... really now, lol. Night everyone...

Week in Review
On the plus side Katrina got a couple days off from school, so she was able to work with me which was a huge help. I can not tell her enough how much her help makes my job so much smoother. Thursday was when the storm came in and for most people they didn't have to work that afternoon. School was let out Friday and you could really tell it from all the kids out and about playing. Funny how when you are a kid snow days were the best... EVER!!! Not so much now.... now that I'm out working in it. Friday wasn't much fun at all with all the ice and snow. Yesterday wasn't to bad weather wise but we didn't end up getting our bread until mid afternoon. Once again I was glad that Katrina was helping.
We did part of the route yesterday and did the rest of it today. After we got done we came home and Katrina made me some sandwiches, lol. It was nice to get home and relax for a bit. Watched another show of "LOST" and still don't know what the heck is going on,lol. It's getting better and getting to the point where you want to keep watching to know whats going on. One great thing about having NetFlix is you have no commercials so the shows are only about 40mins long. All in all it wasn't too bad of a week. Worked a ton but will be nice when we get paid. One nice thing about this job is that the more you work the more you make. Momma needs a new pair of shoes...lol.
In closing I hope that everyone had a great and safe weekend. Summer will be here soon enough and then we feast with great friends and great food. Miss you all and till next time this has been looking through my window covered with ice and snow.

A Day to Remember....27 of January
It was the most unreal thing I had ever been a part of to date and something I would never wish upon anyone. I knew the basketball players really well. Couldn't tell you how many pick-up basketball game we had played together.
Just makes you think that life is way to short. I have tried to tell those that I truly hold close to me how much they mean. I'm sure I don't tell them enough how much I truly love them. How I am who I am because of them being a part of my life. Most of all thanks for sticking it out with me. I know I touched on this the other day but today has been pretty ruff. Just think about how much I would miss you if you were to leave... pass away... you get the idea. From that my thoughts wonder how much I would be missed if I were to be gone. I know how much each of you has impacted me but how do you really know how much you mean to the other person. I don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon but just makes you think and wonder.
Guess I just want to be that person that you would miss... yet would laugh and love in all the great times we spent together. I feel so blessed that the people I came close to 20 or so years ago are still a part of my life ( that includes you Joe even if it's not as long, lol ). I don't understand why we have been friends for so long but wouldn't trade any of our memories.
Driving to Lamar to go to a Fair for heavens sake. I hate the fair, lol. Oh road trips are the best. Going to Fayetteville, AR to watch a Football game.. wooooooooo pig.... Going to Kansas City to watch a concert ( same one we had just seen )... Going to Dallas to see a once and lifetime concert ( thank you Emily for letting Mike go and big time thanks to John for giving us a place to crash...lol which we did ). Going six flages and then seeing the same movie 4 or 5 times while down there, YES!!!! And hard to top going to Costa Rica. Meeting and soon to add even more amazing friends to our family. From that trip two of the guys gave us a trip in NY city that most could only dream about. Such great memories and many more to come.... with each and everyone of you.
In closing I want to say thank you to all of you again. Good times with great friends! Amazing wife that makes me "Sandwiches" ( blaaahhhhh ). Life is good and I'm so thankful that I can remember the 10.

Random things to think about...
2.If girls with large breasts work at Hooters, then do girls with one leg work at IHOP?
3.Why is the Lone Ranger called 'Lone' if he always has his Indian friend Tonto with him?
4.When does it stop being partly cloudy and start being partly sunny?
5.Is there a time limit on fortune cookie predictions?
6.Why do people say beans beans the magical fruit when beans are vegetables?
7.Why do people never say "it's only a game" when they're winning?
8.Why put a towel in the dirty clothes basket if when you get out of the shower you are clean?
9.Why does Jello have a smell when you add the powder in the water, but when it "gels" the smell is gone?
10.Why do people say "heads up" when you should duck?
and one fore the road..
"If nothing is perfect, how can practice make man perfect? "
Know this isn't much but thought it would be nice to give you something to think about. Been in a mood today where I have been thinking about all kinds of random stuff. Been a pretty good day and about ready to call it a night. Hope that some of these made you think or at least made you smile. Night everyone...

Friends...
Today as I was driving I happened to pass a school in which all the little kids were outside playing. Playtime... Remember when the biggest thing you had to worry about was how fast you could eat your lunch so you could get outside and play. 4-square, monkey-bars, tether ball, kick ball or even just running around because you didn't want to talk with the "yucky girls" ( my how that will and does change ). The freedom to do and be anything you want... or so we thought. At that age you are more worried about your snack pack then how you are going to pay the rent. All the friends in the world and can't imagine your life without them. Makes me smile just thinking about it... simple things in life.
From those thoughts it made me think about all the people that have come and gone in my life. Would seem that more have gone but what an amazing select few have stood the test of time. I think about all the times sleeping over at Mikes house playing the old school Nintendo. Staying up all night playing tell your thumb would hurt for weeks. Hard to think that something with only two buttons could do that. lol
Playing basketball at Nathans house till his mom told us to stop and I had to go home. Going to the school dances and playing basketball ( Yeah I know we should have been hanging out with the ladies ). Going over to his house every morning and watching ESPN before school and watching the game show Jeopardy after school ( still not sure how Nathan knew all the answers ).
Ski trips... Trying to keep up with John and trying not to kill myself. Funny how looking back being around John would do that to you. Not a bad thing just better learn really fast because that's how you had to be to keep up. Oh how I miss skiing and can't wait to get back someday. One time John and I went down the backside of the bowl which at the time I shouldn't have been even close to there. Prob should have been skiing the greens and maybe a blue if they weren't too hard. The statement said most often while we skied was, " Boundaries... We don't need no stinkin' boundaries," lol. The last run of the day always went something like this. Knowing how long it would take to get to the bottom John and I would ski like we were going for the Gold Medal to get to the bottom and make it for the last run up the ski lift. I still can smell the fresh air as we would get to the top. John would make us sit down and take it all in. Looking around at all Gods splendor and love every moment. Simple things in life...
A lot of today's thoughts have come from the fact that Katrina asks me from time to time if I will love her forever. The real question is will she stay with me. I think about those that have come and gone in my life and I'm truly blessed for those of you that have stayed with me. From good times and bad I should tell each and everyone of you how much you mean. I am bad about letting people in but each of you have a place with me for as long as God has us be on his earth. Hard to believe that I have known those that are so close to me for over 20 years. From football to playing pick-up games of basketball. From off-roading to late night Jamming on the old guitar ( thanks mike for putting up with me ). To have such great friends is more then I could have ever asked for. So many people couldn't tell you where or what the people they knew in grade school are doing today. I'm lucky enough to talk with them most weeks of the year. Not as much as I would like but enough to still know they want me around. Thank you... Truly
